Injit Injit Semut - Lagu Daerah Jambi

Jalan jalan ke Tanah Deli
Sungguh indah tempat tamasya
Kawan jangan bersedih
Mari nyanyi bersama sama

Kalau pergi ke Surabaya
Naik prahu dayung sendiri
Kalau hatimu sedih
Ya rugi diri sendiri

Naik prahu ke Pulau Sribu
Sungguh malang nasibku
Punya teman diambil orang
Ramai sungguh Bandar Jakarta
Tempat orang mengikat janji
Walau teman tak punya hati
Senang dapat bernyanyi

STATE OF PLAY - Movie 2009

from wikipedia.org :
The film was directed by Kevin Macdonald from a screenplay written by Matthew Michael Carnahan, Tony Gilroy, Peter Morgan, and Billy Ray.
The film tells of a journalist's probe into the suspicious death of a Congressman's mistress. Russell Crowe plays the journalist and Ben Affleck plays the Congressman. The supporting cast includes Rachel McAdams, Helen Mirren, Jason Bateman, Robin Wright Penn, and Jeff Daniels. Macdonald said State of Play is informed by the films of the 1970s, and explores the topical subjects of journalistic independence and the relationship between politicians and the press. It was released in North America on April 17, 2009.

Plot :
One night, a thief is fleeing through Washington, D.C. at night and is killed by a man carrying a briefcase and a handgun with a silencer. A pizza delivery man who witnesses the incident while riding his bicycle is shot by the killer and is left in a coma. The following morning, a young woman is killed by a subway train in an apparent suicide. Congressman Stephen Collins (Affleck) is distraught to hear the news, as the woman was Sonia Baker, a lead researcher on his staff. Collins, who has military experience, is leading an investigation into PointCorp, a private defense contractor with controversial operations involving mercenaries. Reporter Cal McAffrey (Crowe) was Collins' college roommate, and the two discuss Sonia's death. Collins reveals that he had been having an extramarital affair with Sonia, and that Sonia had sent him a cheerful video message on the morning of her death, which he believes is inconsistent behavior for someone about to commit suicide. Della Frye (McAdams), a reporter and blogger with the online division of Cal's newspaper, discovers that Sonia's death occurred in one of only three CCTV blind spots on the subway platform. Cal believes the shootings are related to Sonia's death and finds a link between the thief and a homeless girl who sought out Cal. She gives him photographs that the thief, a friend of hers, stole from the killer's briefcase. The photos show surveillance images of Sonia talking to a well-dressed man.

Della visits the hospital where the pizza delivery man is regaining consciousness. She meets a man while exiting an elevator. She witnesses the pizza man in his hospital bed shot dead by an unseen sniper. Dismayed, she returns to her newspaper's office and reviews CCTV footage; she recognizes the man she met at the hospital on the footage from the subway platform and at the elevator in the hospital. Cal asks a connection he has inside PointCorp to find information regarding the man. He reveals that PointCorp stands to gain $40 billion annually from its mercenary activities in the Middle East and domestically. Cal speaks with Collins, who shares his research findings — PointCorp is cooperating with other defense contractors to create a monopoly and purchase government surveillance and defense contracts, essentially privatizing United States security.

Cal's PointCorp insider returns with the address of someone linked to the suspected assassin. Cal visits the address to find the assassin living there. Terrified, Cal makes an excuse and tries to leave. Stalked by the man, Cal calls the police who arrive and force the man to disappear after he shoots at Cal. Della, following a lead, finds the identity of the well-dressed man speaking to Sonia in the photographs — a PR executive working for a subsidiary of PointCorp. Cal blackmails him into talking about his activities with Sonia, and secretly tapes their conversation. The PR excecutive reveals that Sonia was paid to spy on Collins for PointCorp, but that she loved Collins and was pregnant with his baby when she was killed. Before Cal's newspaper goes to press, Collins goes on record to present his research into PointCorp. Collin's wife Anne reveals that she knows about the money paid to Sonia and after Stephen and Anne leave, Cal realizes that Stephen knew already that Sonia was working for PointCorp. Cal then wonders what Stephen would have done had he known he had been tricked and whether Stephen himself is connected with the assassin and looks at Stephen's old military picture for clues.

The military picture confirms Cal's hunch, and Cal rushes to Collins' office to speak with him. Collins reveals that he had been suspicious of Sonia, and that he hired the assassin to watch her. The assassin is Corporal Bingham, a former military colleague of Collins', whose life Collins had once saved. Collins says that Bingham didn't trust Sonia and killed her with no authorization from him. Cal tells Collins that he has three minutes to leave his office before the police arrive, as he's already contacted them. Cal goes to his car where he is confronted by Bingham, who says he will kill for a friend. Cal ducks, and the officers whom Cal called arrive and shoot Bingham before he opens fire. At the office Cal and Della type up their story with an altered version of Bingham's death (the story indicates that Bingham had committed suicide) and noting that Collins was arrested before they leave the office together. The film credits roll with footage of the newspaper being printed.

One Hundred Years of Solitude - A Novel written by Gabriel Garcia Marquez

Amazon.com review :

"Many years later, as he faced the firing squad, Colonel Aureliano Buendía was to remember that distant afternoon when his father took him to discover ice."

It is typical of Gabriel García Márquez that it will be many pages before his narrative circles back to the ice, and many chapters before the hero of One Hundred Years of Solitude, Buendía, stands before the firing squad. In between, he recounts such wonders as an entire town struck with insomnia, a woman who ascends to heaven while hanging laundry, and a suicide that defies the laws of physics:

A trickle of blood came out under the door, crossed the living room, went out into the street, continued on in a straight line across the uneven terraces, went down steps and climbed over curbs, passed along the Street of the Turks, turned a corner to the right and another to the left, made a right angle at the Buendía house, went in under the closed door, crossed through the parlor, hugging the walls so as not to stain the rugs, went on to the other living room, made a wide curve to avoid the dining-room table, went along the porch with the begonias, and passed without being seen under Amaranta's chair as she gave an arithmetic lesson to Aureliano José, and went through the pantry and came out in the kitchen, where Úrsula was getting ready to crack thirty-six eggs to make bread.
"Holy Mother of God!" Úrsula shouted.

The story follows 100 years in the life of Macondo, a village founded by José Arcadio Buendía and occupied by descendants all sporting variations on their progenitor's name: his sons, José Arcadio and Aureliano, and grandsons, Aureliano José, Aureliano Segundo, and José Arcadio Segundo. Then there are the women--the two Úrsulas, a handful of Remedios, Fernanda, and Pilar--who struggle to remain grounded even as their menfolk build castles in the air. If it is possible for a novel to be highly comic and deeply tragic at the same time, then One Hundred Years of Solitude does the trick. Civil war rages throughout, hearts break, dreams shatter, and lives are lost, yet the effect is literary pentimento, with sorrow's outlines bleeding through the vibrant colors of García Márquez's magical realism. Consider, for example, the ghost of Prudencio Aguilar, whom José Arcadio Buendía has killed in a fight. So lonely is the man's shade that it haunts Buendía's house, searching anxiously for water with which to clean its wound. Buendía's wife, Úrsula, is so moved that "the next time she saw the dead man uncovering the pots on the stove she understood what he was looking for, and from then on she placed water jugs all about the house."

The Hangover - Movie 2009

I think this one is Hilariously Funny!! made me laugh all the way through.. My Favorit part is when Doug was found and hes all red by sunburn coz he was locked on the hotel roof. and the way Tracy asked at the wedding "Why are you so RED?" I rofl!

Plot from Wikipedia.org :

Doug (Justin Bartha) is about to be married to Tracy (Sasha Barrese), and his friends — Phil (Bradley Cooper), Stu (Ed Helms), and soon-to-be brother-in-law Alan (Zach Galifianakis) — take him to Las Vegas for a bachelor party. Tracy's father lends them his car, a vintage Mercedes convertible for the trip. The four get a villa at Caesars Palace hotel and casino, then sneak onto the roof and toast to the night ahead. The next morning, the three groomsmen wake up in the suite with no memory of the previous night, and realize that Doug is missing. Clues abound: the suite is in severe disorder, a tiger is in the bathroom, a baby is in the closet, Stu is missing a tooth, one of the suite's mattresses is impaled on a statue outside, Phil is wearing a hospital bracelet, Stu has an $800 ATM receipt, and a valet brings them a stolen police cruiser they dropped off the night before.

While retracing their steps, a doctor at the hospital informs them that they had traces of roofies in their blood, explaining their memory loss, and that they came from a wedding. They find the chapel, and learn that Stu, despite planning to propose to his controlling girlfriend Melissa, married a stripper named Jade (Heather Graham), the mother of the baby in the closet. The men visit her apartment and return the baby, but are taken by surprise and arrested for stealing the police cruiser. Phil negotiates their release in exchange for the three groomsmen "volunteering" as targets for a taser demonstration. They then retrieve the Mercedes from an impound lot and discover a naked Asian man in the trunk. The man attacks them and runs away, and Alan admits to spiking their drinks the night before with what he thought was ecstasy, but realizes the drug dealer must have sold him roofies instead. They return to the hotel and find former boxing champion Mike Tyson in their room, who was looking for his stolen tiger. Tyson knocks out Alan and orders them to return the pet to his mansion. They drug the tiger with roofies and transport it in the Mercedes, but before they reach Tyson's mansion, it wakes up and destroys the car's interior. Tyson plays security footage of the groomsmen's activities from the night before in an effort to help them locate Doug.

Resuming their search, the three are confronted by the thugs, who, as it turns out, are led by the naked man they found in the trunk of their car, Leslie Chow. According to Chow, the groomsmen have $80,000 of his money, which they accidentally took the night before. Chow demands it back in exchange for Doug, whom he has kidnapped. Unable to find the money, Alan uses his knowledge of card counting to win it playing blackjack. The money is repaid, but Chow had kidnapped a different Doug, who turns out to be the drug dealer who sold Alan the roofies. After a conversation with the Doug the drug dealer, Stu remembers that hotel windows do not open in Las Vegas, and deduces that the mattress on the statue must have been thrown from the roof, and therefore they must have locked a sleeping Doug on the roof as a prank. Rushing back to the hotel, they find him with less than four hours before the wedding. Stu and Jade agree that they cannot remain married, but promise to meet the following weekend to see what develops between them. Jade also reveals that Stu had pulled out his own tooth on a dare from Alan. As they rush home and make it to the wedding, Doug discovers he has Chow's $80,000 worth of casino chips in his pockets. Doug marries Tracy, and Stu breaks up with Melissa. As the reception ends, Alan reveals a digital camera he discovered in the back seat of the Mercedes chronicling the events they were unable to remember, and the four agree to look at the pictures only one time before destroying the evidence.

Paranormal Activity - Movie 2009

Here is the synopsis from wikipedia.org :

The movie begins with Micah testing out and playing with his camera. He wishes to film the strange and paranormal things that have been happening in the house. A psychic is called in and learns from Katie that she has been haunted by a ghostly entity since her youth. The psychic informs the couple that they are being plagued, not by a ghost, but by a demon. He says that no matter where they go the demon will follow as it is haunting Katie herself. The psychic explains that the demon feeds off negative energy, so the couple must do their best not to antagonize it or give it more power by fighting with each other. Micah continues his project. A camera is set up in the bedroom and every night it captures what happens as they sleep. On the first night nothing happens, but after this, strange but minor things begin to occur. The bedroom door moves by itself and the lights turn on in the hallway on their own. Each night, when the incidents occur, a low droning noise is heard on the camera. One morning, Micah goes around the house with his camera and openly asks the demon if he should get a Ouija board. When he plays back the audio on his computer, a low inhuman growl is heard after he asks the question. Katie protests his intentions of getting a board and Micah reluctantly agrees not to buy one. Against Katie's wishes, Micah borrows a Ouija board to speak with the demon. He sets it up in the living room but Katie yells at him and they argue and go outside of the house before Micah can begin talking with the demon. While they're gone, a strange "wind" blows through the living room and the board begins to spell words on its own and catches on fire. A strange image is burned into the board when Micah and Katie return.

Strange things continue to happen to Katie at night, usually around 3:15 A.M. One night, Katie gets out of bed and stands right next to the bed for hours, doing nothing but staring at Micah. After this, she proceeds downstairs. Micah wakes up, goes down, and finds her sitting outside on a swing. The next morning she does not recall doing this. The strange occurrences begin to escalate. One night, the couple hears a loud bang and then a door slams. They find nothing out of place except that a chandelier downstairs is swinging very slowly. After this, Katie then agrees to let Micah try one more experiment. Should it fail, she will call a demonologist that the psychic recommended to them. Micah lays down several patches of baby powder to catch the demon's footprints. During the night the couple awakens to the sound of something walking down the hall and into their room, they find the demon has left several footprints within and near the powder, footprints that are distinctly not human. Going further into the hall, Micah finds the attic door open. He goes up to the attic and finds a photo of Katie from when she was young that is charred at the edges. Katie is shocked to see the photo and says it's impossible for that photo to be in the house because it was burned to ash in a fire that consumed the home she lived in as a child. She then asks Micah where in the attic it was found and he says it was laying above where their bed would be. The next morning Katie calls the demonologist, but finds that he is out of town. She then sets up another appointment with the psychic for the next day. The psychic arrives and upon entering the house, is overwhelmed by the negative energy from the demon. He quickly departs saying that his presence only angers the demon and there is nothing he can do. The nights become more chilling as the sheets on their bed begin moving by themselves. One night, Katie is yanked and dragged screaming out of bed and into the hall by an invisible force. Micah awakens, gives chase, and forcibly takes her back. The next day, Micah has Katie show bruises on her skin and a large mark on her back that resembles a bite.

The activity soon begins to occur during the day, indicating the presence in the home is getting stronger. During one afternoon a photo of Micah and Katie is smashed, with glass cracks and what appears to be claw marks going through Micah's side of the portrait. They make plans to go to a hotel that night, hoping the demon will not follow them immediately. But later that day, Micah finds Katie sitting on the floor in a daze with her back against the wall, gripping a crucifix tightly in her hand. In helping her up, Micah notices blood on her hands and leg from the crucifix. He then lights the fireplace and burns the cross and the scorched photograph of Katie that he found in the attic. Later, Micah tells Katie, who is lying in bed, to get their things together so they can leave the house. Katie now refuses, saying that she wants to stay. She tells Micah to trust her. He leaves the room in anger and she whispers that "everything will be fine from now on." She closes her eyes and gives a disturbing smile to the camera. That night they are seen sleeping and the droning noise starts again in the background. Katie suddenly sits up, then gets out of bed and stares at Micah. She stands there, unmoving, when suddenly the sheet slowly pulls off Micah; Katie moves around the bed and stares at him for two more hours. At about 3:35 a.m. she moves to the bedroom door and exits, going down the stairs into the darkness. Suddenly, Katie screams for Micah, who jumps out of bed. As he hits the staircase, the droning noise becomes increasingly lower pitched and demonic. The camera sees nothing but the bedroom and the dark hallway, but the activity downstairs can be heard. Katie continues to scream; some struggling is heard, followed by dead silence. Moments later, heavy footsteps can be heard. Unexpectedly, Micah's body is hurled towards the camera. He collides with it and both fall to the ground, where Micah remains motionless. Katie stands in the doorway with blood on her shirt. She crawls to Micah's body and, like an animal, sniffs at him. She sees the camera and smiles at it eerily, her face contorted and evil, suggesting that she has been possessed by whatever has been haunting her. Katie lunges toward the camera with a loud scream, her face demonic, and the screen cuts to black. Following this, we are told that Micah's body was found soon afterwards, and that Katie has never been found.

Nutrition Thu, 18 Dec 2008 15:30:00 WIB

Kandungan kolesterol telur salmon sangat tinggi. Satu sajian telur salmon memenuhi 56 persen kebutuhan tubuh akan kolesterol setiap hari.

Konsumsi Dua Ekor Seminggu

InshaALLAH. (dari berbagai sumber)

SNOW - A Novel written by Orhan Pamuk

Plot summary from wikipedia.org :

A poet who goes by the name Ka returns to Turkey after a twelve-year political exile in Germany. A friend in Istanbul who works for a newspaper suggests that he go to the town of Kars, near Turkey's eastern border of Armenia and Georgia, posing as a journalist. Recently, the suicides of a number of young women in the area have brought attention to the small town. Ka begins to interview residents and learns what he can about the deaths. The suicides are causing much controversy among local Muslims as suicide is forbidden in the religion.

Ka reunites with a woman named İpek, whom he once had feelings for and whose father runs the hotel he is staying in. İpek had married a man named Muhtar, but the two are now divorced, partly due to Muhtar's newfound interest in political Islam. While İpek and Ka are in a café, they witness a shooting of the local director of the Institute of Education by a Muslim extremist from out of town who blames the director for the death of a young woman named Teslime, claiming she killed herself because of the director's ban on head-scarves in school. After the incident, Ka visits Muhtar, who tells him about his experience of finding Islam, which relates to a blizzard and meeting a charismatic sheikh named Saadettin Efendi. The police pick up Ka and Muhtar due to the killing of the minister. Ka is questioned and Muhtar is beaten.

Though most of the early part of the story is told in the third-person from Ka's point of view, an omniscient narrator sometimes makes his presence known, posing as a friend of Ka's who is telling the story based on Ka's journals and correspondence. This narrator sometimes provides the reader with information before Ka knows it or foreshadows later events in the story.

Though he has suffered from writer's block for a number of years, Ka suddenly feels inspired and composes a poem called "Snow", which describes a mystic experience. Other poems follow. At İpek's suggestion, Ka goes to see Sheikh Saadettin and confesses that he associates religion with a backwardness that he does not want himself or Turkey to fall into. But he feels a sense of comfort with the sheikh and begins to accept his new poems as gifts from God.

Other significant characters Ka encounters include a wanted Muslim radical named Blue and İpek's younger sister Kadife, who has joined and become the leader of the "head-scarf girls", those who insist upon being "covered." Through Kadife, he meets another head-scarf girl, Hande, who suggested suicide to Teslime but insists she did not intend for the girl to follow through. Throughout the book, the act of insisting upon wearing a head-scarf, which places these girls in a head-on collision with the state authorities and entails enormous pressures and sacrifices, is described as an act of empowerment and assertion of their identity as women; in one passage, Ka refers to them as "Islamic Feminists".

Ka is impressed by Necip, a student at the religious high school, who, like many of the young Muslims at the school, is quite taken by Kadife. The narrator lets the reader know that Necip will die soon. Growing tensions between secularists and Islamists explode during a televised event at the National Theater, during which one secular group puts on a classic play condemning head scarves. When Muslims protest, three nationalists take the stage and start firing. Necip is among those killed. The police and military establish martial law, and Ka is taken in for questioning because he has been seen with Islamists. He is shattered to find Necip's body in the morgue and identifies him as the one who led him to Blue.

Ka is taken to meet Sunay Zaim, an actor whose group put on the play at the National Theater and who is now orchestrating the round-ups and investigations of suspicious persons. Sunay is a staunch Turkish Republican, who had often played with great conviction revolutionaries and dictators such as Robespierre, Napoleon and Lenin, but whose dream to play Attaturk, the founder of the Turkish Reublic, was frustrated. As the snow has made the roads and railroads impassable, no outside authorities are able to intervene in the coup. The isolation of Kars and Sunay's old friendship with the senior military officer left in charge of the local garrison enabled him to become a revolotionary dictator in real life as well as on the stage, for a for at least a few days - his act being simultaneously a coup d'état and a coup de théâtre.

Ka is then taken by Kadife to speak with Blue, who is Kadife's lover. Ka convinces Blue that he has a contact at a newspaper in Germany who will be willing to print a statement denouncing the coup if Blue can get support from non-Islamists. To further this fiction, Ka returns to his hotel to convince Kadife and Ipek's leftist father Turgut Bey to collaborate on the statement. After the father and Kadife leave, Ka's longing for İpek is fulfilled when the two make love.

At this point, the narrator, who identifies himself as a novelist named Orhan, flashes forward four years and relates that Ka spent the last years of his life obsessing over İpek and writing unsent letters to her before being murdered in Frankfurt. The narrator will play a much larger role in the story in the later chapters of the novel. We are clearly meant to identify the narrator with Orhan Pamuk himself as he later identifies The Black Book as one of his works, as well as Museum of Innocence which he would later publish in 2008.

Turgut Bey attends a meeting at which representatives from the various factions opposed to the coup, including Islamists, leftists, and Kurds, attempt comically to produce a coherent statement to the European press denouncing the action. After Blue is arrested and held by the nationalists, Ka negotiates a deal with Sunay Zaim that will result in Blue's release but only if Kadife agrees to play a role in Zaim's production of Thomas Kyd's The Spanish Tragedy and remove her head-scarf on live television during the course of the play. Both Kadife and Blue agree.

Ka is soon picked up and beaten by two policemen who are trying to keep tabs on Blue. He is also given the devastating news that Ipek was Blue's mistress during her marriage to Muhtar and still keeps in contact with him. Ipek confesses the affair and further indicates that Kadife only got involved with Blue out of envy. Ka's jealousy is intense and the two fall asleep after weeping together. She still believes that they can go to Frankfurt and be happy, and he eventually comes around to believing it again too. However, before they can leave he must convince Kadife to not take her head-scarf off during the play as both Ipek and Turgut Bey have become very concerned at the possible reaction of the students from the religious school. Despite Ka's urging, Kadife insists upon uncovering herself during the performance.

After a scene in which Ka is seen confused and tormented by feelings of pain and jealousy, the narrative describing events from his point of view abruptly breaks off. The narrator explains that Ka had left behind a detailed account of his acts and feelings while in Kars, but that there was no reference to his last hours in the city, and it is left to his friend Orhan to try to reconstruct these by following in Ka's footsteps, visiting the places where he had been and meeting the people he had met.

Ka's actions immediately after leaving the theater remain a mystery which is never completely untangled. Orhan is, however, able to establish that Ka was later taken by the military to the train station, where he was put on the first train scheduled to leave now that the routes from the town are open again. Ka complied but sent soldiers to retrieve İpek for him. However, just as İpek is saying her farewells to her father, news arrives that Blue and Hande have been shot. İpek is shattered and blames Ka for leading the police to Blue's hideout. Instead of going to Ka, she and her father go to the theater to see Kadife.

The novel's narrator then describes events at the theater as if he has reconstructed them from various sources. Kadife and Zaim have an on-stage discussion about suicide and the different reasons why men and women kill themselves. A garret and noose are set up, and Zaim hands Kadife a gun after he demonstrates that it is not loaded. When Kadife shoots Zaim much of the audience assumes his death is staged, and even Kadife appears to be surprised that the gun is in fact loaded. Zaim had clearly prepared and orchestrated his own death on stage, "pushing art to its farthest limits" and preferring to die at the peak of his theatrical and political career. Soon afterwords, as the snow has subsided, Ka's train departs and local authorities enter the town to stifle the coup and restore order.

Years later, the narrator goes to Kars to uncover details on Ka's story. He meets with many of the principals, including Kadife, who served very little time for what was ruled an accidental homicide and is now married to a student from the religious school. Meeiting Ipek, the narrator himself falls deeply in love with her and becomes intensely jealous of his dead friend (and of the dead Blue). In his talk with İpek he tells her that Ka was a shattered man who never forgot about İpek but was prevented from returning to Kars due to a warrant for his arrest. İpek is still convinced that Ka betrayed Blue. Indeed, the narrator soon finds evidence that suggests that Ka went back to talk to the police after his visit to the theater and probably told them where to find Blue. İpek has remained unmarried, does not expect to ever find love again, and devotes herself to her nephew.

In the end it is disclosed that a new group of Islamic militants was formed by younger followers of Blue who had been forced into exile in Germany and based themselves in Berlin, vowing to take revenge for the death of their admired leader. It is assumed that one of them had assassinated Ka and taken away the only extant copy of the poems he had written in Kars. Thus, while much is told about the names of these poems, their themes and the circumstances under which each was written, the poems themselves are lost.

THE BOOK OF LAUGHTER AND FORGETTING - written by Milan Kundera

Plot from Wikipedia.org :

Part One: Lost Letters

The first section occurs in 1971 and pertains to the story of Mirek, a former supporter now found to be treasonous, as he explores the depths of his memories pertaining to one woman named Zdena. In his attempt to better his life, knowing that he loved the ugly woman left a blemish, and it was his hope to rectify this through destroying love letters that he had sent her. While he travels to her home and back, he is followed by two men, one of which is described as "a man in a gray jacket, white shirt and tie, and brown slacks." The men make their intentions obvious, even so far as sharing a laugh with Mirek when he manages to lose their tracking thanks to a sports car. Mirek is arrested at his home after several items are confiscated and then sentenced to jail for six years, his son to two years, and ten or so of his friends to terms of from one to six years.

Kundera also describes a photograph from 21st of February 1948, where Vladimír Clementis stands next to Klement Gottwald. When Vladimír Clementis was charged in 1950, he was erased from the photograph (along with the photographer Karel Hájek) by the state propaganda.
This short example from Czechoslovak history underlines the motif of forgetting in his book.

Part Two: Mother

Marketa invites her mother-in-law to visit her and Karel's home after her mother did nothing but complain. Inviting her to stay for a week - although contending that she must leave Saturday because they had somewhere to be on Sunday - the mother forces her way to stay until Monday. On Sunday morning, Eva - a friend of Karel and Marketa - arrives and is introduced to the mother as Marketa's cousin. Through narration the reader is told that Eva had met and made love to Karel, who then arranged for Eva and Marketa to meet. Through Marketa's suggestion, the three have conducted a sexual relationship over the years. Mother almost catches the three in the act, but instead realizes that Eva reminds her of a friend of hers from Karel's infancy. This makes Karel even more attracted to Eva, and after the mother leaves, they continue with a new force.

Part Three: The Angels

This section is mostly narration concerning events after the Russians occupied Czechoslovakia, especially Kundera's attempts to write a horoscope under an associate's name. A big deal was made when the boss - who had studied Marxism-Leninism for half of his life - requested a private horoscope, which Kundera extended to ten pages long, providing a template for the man to change his life. Eventually, Kundera's associate - code named R. - is brought in for questioning concerning Kundera's clandestine writing, causing them to stop their laughter and start worrying. Kundera also describes 'circle dancing' wherein the joy and laughter build up to the point that the people's steps take them soaring into the sky with the laughing angels.

Part Four: Lost Letters

Tamina, a woman who works in a cafe, wants to retrieve her love letters and diaries in Prague through her customer who will be going to Prague, Bibi. Also, another customer, Hugo, who secretly loves Tamina, offers to help her if Bibi cannot go to Prague. One day, Hugo invites Tamina to dinner and they visited the zoo together. A group of ostriches move their mute mouths vigorously to Hugo and Tamina as if to warn them of something, which gives Tamina a bad feeling about the letters and diaries in Prague. As these items, which Tamina describes as packed in a parcel, are in her mother-in-law's, she phoned her father to take it from her mother-in-law, so it will be easier for Bibi to get them. After a lot of pleas, her father agreed to send Tamina's brother to take them. It turns out that the items are not packed in a parcel, and Tamina fears that her private letters and diaries are read by others. The situation turns worse as Bibi gets fed up with her husband and refuses to go anywhere with him, which means the trip to Prague is canceled. Hugo offers to help and once again invites Tamina to his house. Hugo tries desperately to win her heart. Tamina later has sex with Hugo, but cannot keep her mind off her deceased husband. Hugo senses her uneasiness and stops having sex. Again, Hugo chats with Tamina and tries saying things that please her. However, Tamina is not interested in his talk but only in Hugo's trip to Prague. Hugo gradually knows that and his speech gets weaker and he starts to get angry. Tamina is increasingly disgusted by his talk and eventually vomited in the toilet. Hugo knows that she has absolutely no interest in him and refuses to help her. At the end, the letters and diaries remain in Prague.

Part Five: Litost

It starts with introducing Kristyna, who develops a love relationship with a student studying philosophy and poetry. Then, it explains the Czech word Litost, which the writer states that he hasn't found any substitute for the word in any other languages yet. Litost is "a state of torment upon by the realization of one's inadequacy or misery". Litost seems to be always present in the student whom Kristyna loves, and this feeling is also one of the reasons that he broke up with his former girlfriend. His professor, nicknamed Voltaire, invites the student to an evening gathering of the great poets of the country. However, the student has a date with Kristyna that night and refuses to go to the gathering. He then meets Kristyna on the day the gathering is held and tells her about it. Kristyna is fascinated by it and wants the student to go there so as not to miss the chance. The student agrees and goes to the meeting. He meets the great poets and listens to their arguments and insults to each other. Through this he learns a lot of things. He asks one of the poets, named Goethe by the author, to inscribe on one of his books and give the book to Kristyna as a gift. He returns to his home and finds Kristyna waiting for him. She is moved by the inscription. They do not have sex but feels each other's immense love. The student tries several times to get Kristyna to separate her two legs, but Kristyna fears that this will make her pregnant, which threatens her life. So she keeps saying that by doing this she will die. The student misinterprets that she will die from the immense love from him if they are separated from each other for a long time. He is deeply moved. He soon falls asleep and wakes up next morning, finding a note in his coat from Kristyna. After thinking over their night, he realizes that he misinterpreted her statement last night. He feels Litost but cannot take revenge for Kristyna has already left. One of the poets approaches him and fills him with glory, making the student no longer feeling despair.

MY NAME IS RED - A Novel written by Orhan Pamuk

here is the outline from wikipedia.org :

The main characters in the novel are miniaturists in the Ottoman Empire. The events revolve around the murder of one of the painters, as related in the first chapter. From then on, Pamuk — in a postmodern style reminiscent of Jorge Luis Borges — plays with the reader and with literary conventions in general.

The novel's narrator changes in every chapter. In addition to character-narrators, the reader will find unexpected voices such as the corpse of the murdered, a coin, several painting motifs, and the color red. The novel blends mystery, romance, and philosophical puzzles, opening a window on the reign of Ottoman Sultan Murat III during nine snowy winter days in the Istanbul of 1591.

Enishte Effendi, the maternal uncle of Kara (Black), is reading the Book of the Soul by Ibn Qayyim Al-Jawziyya, a famous Sunni commentator on the Qur'an, and continuous references to it are made throughout the book. The most important of these is the fact that part of the novel is narrated by Elegant Effendi, a murdered miniaturist. Al-Jawziyya argues, in the same fashion as Islamic doctrine in general, that the souls of the dead linger on earth and can hear the living.

Pamuk suggests that viewing miniatures is a way to achieve a kind of eternity. Thus Shekure seeks to look upon the reader like women who view miniatures of a distant time and place do, thereby escaping time and place - 'just like those beautiful women with one eye on the life within the book and one eye on the life outside, I, too, long to speak with you who are observing me from who knows which distant time and place.' The murdered Elegant Effendi accused his murderer of sacrilegious illustrations offending Allah or God. Is true art an expression of the individual artist or is true art a close to perfect representation of the divine in which the individual artist has succeeded in overcoming his personal vanity? This question becomes an existential question in Pamuk's tale.

Merenungi beberapa firman Allah SWT...

Mereka mengingkari ayat-ayat Allah, maka Allah menyiksa mereka disebabkan dosa-dosanya. Sesungguhnya Allah Maha Kuat lagi Amat Keras siksaan-Nya. "
QS. al-Anfal (8) : 52

THE ROAD - 2009 Movie

from imdb.com :

The world is in ruins after an apocalyptic event that is never described. A father and his son are walking south in an attempt to escape the increasingly cold, endless winter. Along the way they have to avoid gangs of lawless killers. Their only weapon is a pistol with 2 bullets. The father has dreams about his wife, who killed herself before the story begins. On the road to a better place, they encounter cannibals and organized militants, as well as other refugees. At one point they find an intact bomb shelter filled with food and supplies. Rather than remain in this sanctuary, they continue on because they have not yet reached the coast. The only named character they encounter in the entire book is an old man who says his name is Ely. Ely is harmless and alone and they share a meal and talk for a bit. They find out Ely is not his real name and he created this false name in order to keep from being found by other refugees. They eventually part ways.

The whole journey is a struggle to survive in a world no longer capable of sustaining life. They almost lose this struggle when a thief makes off with all their worldly possessions, and the Father nearly loses his struggle to hold on to his humanity in taking those possessions back. The boy is all that keeps him barely human. The boy is his warrant, in his own words.

In the end, they reach the coast but find it is no different, no better than the place they left behind. The father finally succumbs to the illness that has plagued him from the beginning, dying and leaving the boy alone. But he is not alone for long before another finds him, another man holding on to his humanity -- only he's been a little more successful because he had help. Now the boy has a family.

struktur bangunan tahan gempa, seperti apa?

masih dari anisavitri.wordpress.com :

Gempa tanpa korban jiwa. Bata terlemah, beton bertulang terkuat hadapi gempa.

Bisakah tukang2 “tradisional” membuat bangunan tahan gempa ?

RISHA ( Rumah Instan Sederhana Sehat ) dirancang tahan gempa.

RISHA ( Rumah Instan Sederhana Sehat ) dirancang tahan gempa.
